COVID-19 Procedures

As our community continues to feel the impact of the coronavirus, we want to share with you what we are doing to keep our families and associates safe and healthy. Please be assured that we have protocols in place and are continually monitoring ongoing developments.

We remain dedicated to our families as they wish to honor the lives of their loved ones through meaningful services and gatherings, while also respecting the unique challenges the coronavirus continues to present.  

As a family owned funeral home, Morton & Whetstone takes very seriously the responsibility to protect our communities, families and associates. All services and gatherings must comply with official guidelines restricting the number of people that can gather at one time and place. We will work with you to schedule gatherings within the established guidelines or help arrange for services at a desired time in the future. When meeting with our staff for funeral planning or pre-planning, we respectfully ask that you limit the number of individuals attending the in-person conference to three (3) and until the current mandate is lifted, masks are required. 

As part of our protocols, we have implemented enhanced cleaning procedures and are paying special attention to high contact surfaces such as doors, restrooms and all common areas. We have hand sanitizer available throughout the facility and arrangement center. 

We have advised our staff to practice “Social Distancing” and eliminate physical contact such as handshakes with families and guests. We look forward to the time we can once again greet all our families and guests with a hug, handshake and a smile.
