William D. Thomas

Age 85, of Vandalia, passed away Saturday, March 28, 2020, at Upper Valley Medical Center. He was born September 24, 1934 in Hamilton, Ohio to the late Raleigh & Martha (Campbell) Thomas. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his loving wife of 62 years, Martha B. (McIntosh) Thomas. Bill is survived by three daughters, Bambi Gross (Alfred), Brenda Cline (Chuck) and Tammie Herald (Clay); eight grandchildren, Trisha, Greg, Christina, Julie, Chuck III, Nicole, Angela & Amanda; 13 great grandchildren; and one sister, Judith Edds. Bill was a member of First Light Church of Vandalia (formerly First Baptist Church) for the past 38 years. He and his wife loved to travel, especially to Branson, Missouri, Myrtle Beach and the Smoky Mountain area. Private services were held for the immediate family at Royal Oak Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
