Thelma Jean Mikesell

Age 92, of Vandalia, passed away on Saturday, May 21, 2022, just 6 days short of her 93rd birthday.

Jean was born May 27, 1929 in Dayton to the late Clarence & Mary (LeValley) Dill. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her loving husband of 62 years, Howard D. “Mike” Mikesell; and by six siblings.

Jean is survived by three children, Roger Mikesell & his wife, Kim, Daniel Mikesell and Cindy Roth & her husband, Kurt; four grandchildren, David Mikesell & his wife, Elizabeth, Christina Roth, Erika Roth and Marissa Roth; and by two great grandchildren, Mary & Spencer.

The family will be receiving friends from 12 Noon to 1:00 p.m., on Thursday, May 26, at Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Michael Malcosky officiating. Interment will be at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, Tipp City.
