Shirleen M. Bryson

Age 87, of Vandalia, passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2024, at The Hospice of Dayton. Shirleen was born November 16, 1936 to the late Robert Lee & Anna Viola (West) Reeves. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by several brothers & sisters; and by a grand-daughter-in-law, Octavia Kerr Bryson.

Shirleen enjoyed gardening, renovating houses, going on cruises and bowling. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family.

Shirleen is survived by her loving husband of the past 69 years, Denver Bryson; five daughters, Dianne Herold, Penny Duncan (Ron), Valerie Smith (Gary Morrison), Tammie Inman (Steve), Samentha Lucas (Peter); thirteen grandchildren; a slew of great grandchildren & great great grandchildren; brother, Leo Reeves; sister, Lenda Clark (Larry); and by her extended family & many good friends.

The family will be receiving friends from 1:00 – 3:00 pm on Saturday, March 9, at Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 pm with Pastor Steve Inman officiating. Private committal services will be held at Dayton National Cemetery.
