Ruth A. Kistler

KISTLER, Ruth A., age 65 of Butler Twp., passed away Thursday, November 4, 2021 at Hospice of Dayton.  Ruth was born November 10, 1955 in Greenville, Ohio, daughter of the late Joseph and Hazel (Fitzwater) Parmenter.  She was an active member of St. Christopher Catholic Church in Vandalia.

Ruth was an avid gardener and enjoyed creating a beautiful space around her home. She loved entertaining family and friends, and planning events for others to celebrate was her passion. This showed in the many weddings, showers, birthdays, and holiday parties that she was involved in. She was beloved by her family and friends, always putting the needs of others before her own.

Preceded in death by her parents, Ruth is survived by her husband of 28 years, Steve; four children, Brian Joseph Keiser (Gina), Tracy Lynn Keiser (Willem Jan van Zeist), Angela Renee Keiser (Joe Henderson) and Kimberly Kay Mestemaker (Bill); 7 grandchildren, Althea, Rosie, Violet, Elizabeth, Chance, Nathan and Logan; one brother, Steve Paramenter (Tina), along with extended family and good friends.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at St. Christopher Church, 435 E. National Road, Vandalia, Ohio 45377 with Fr. John Tonkin celebrating.   The family will receive friends for visitation from 5-7 pm on Monday, November 8 at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S.
