Russell Winter

WINTER, Russell C., age 83 of Vandalia, passed away Friday, September 18, 2020 at Grandview Hospital.  He was born July 23, 1937 in Hamilton, Ohio, son of the late Paul N. & Frances (Renneker) Winter.  Russ was a retired employee of B.F. Goodrich where he worked in quality control with aircraft.  He attended the Northridge Wesleyan Church, loved Nascar racing, and treasure hunting for bargains at estate, garage and antique sales. 

Preceded in death by his wife, Marlene and 1 sister, Janet; Russell is survived by his step-son, Charlie MacNeil, 3 sisters, Lois Kudelka, Marian Beckler, and Jean Winter; 2 step-granddaughters, Lauren & Erica MacNeil, numerous nieces, nephews, friends and his very special friend, Patti Withem.   

A Public Graveside service will be held to celebrate Russell’s life at 1:00 pm, Thursday, September 24, 2020 at Willowview Cemetery, Dayton with Pastor Scott Ritz officiating.  In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial contribution to the Northridge Wesleyan Church, 1842 Neff Rd., Dayton, Ohio 45414 or to the Vandalia Fire Association, 8705 Peters Pike, Vandalia, Ohio 45377 in Russell’s memory.
