Rose Ellen Payne

Age 82, of Dayton, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, November 22, 2022, at The Hospice of Dayton. She was born March 12, 1940 in Dayton to the late Maurice & Florence Marie (Ritter) Frawley. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her first husband of 25 years, Lawrence Heitzman; her second husband of 22 years, Edward Payne; one grandson, Shelby Dale Blythe; and by three brothers,  Maurice “Bud” Frawley, Ralph Frawley & Joseph Frawley.

Rose retired as a manager with United Dairy Farmers and was a very active member of Woodland Hills Baptist Church where she drove the church van as long as her health permitted.

Rose is survived by three daughters, Florence Blythe & her husband, Shelby of Sweetwater, TN, Joann Heitzman and Sharon Miniard, both of Dayton; two step-sons; 12 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; six great great grandchildren; and by her extended family & many good friends.

The family will be receiving friends from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm on Monday, November 28, at Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia. Funeral services will follow at Noon with Pastor Steve Veg officiating. Interment will be at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
