Raymond Lee Cooper, III

Age 38, of Vandalia, passed away Thursday, November 18, 2021, at 7:25 a.m. Ray was born May 29, 1983 in Dayton to Raymond Lee Cooper, Jr. and Elaine M. (Foster) Cooper.

Ray was preceded in death by his father, Raymond and by one daughter, Kaydence (22 months).

Ray was employed by Pratt Industries, was formerly active with the Boy Scouts and he was a Ham Radio Operator (KD8PNV).

Ray is survived by his loving wife of the past 17 years, Kathleen N. “Katie” Cooper; two children, Matthew Aiden Cooper and Brooke Marie Cooper; his mother, Elaine M. Heard & her husband, Terry; his maternal grandmother, Mary C. Foster; four sisters, Amanda Heard, Ashley Heard, Marycatherine Heard & Erica Richhart & her husband, Jake; his parents-in-law, Robert & Kimberly Hicks; and by his extended family & many good friends.

The family will be receiving friends from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 23, at the Beavercreek Church of God, 2661 Grange Hall Road, Beavercreek, Ohio 45431. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Bishop Larry Nichols officiating. Interment will be at Byron Cemetery in Fairborn.

In lieu of flowers, contributions should be made in memory of Ray to a fund that will be established to benefit his family. Details will be posted when available.
