Ralph A. Giles

GILES, Ralph Alfred, 83, of Tipp City, passed away Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at his home. He was born to Fred C. and Virginia M. (Parker) Giles on December 9, 1937 in Oliver Springs, Tennessee. Ralph worked for Dayton Press (McCall’s) for over 30 years, retired from General Motors and was a member of the National Guard. Preceded in death by his beloved wife, Betty, in 2010, and his grandson, Dusty Reinhard. Survived by his son, Mark Giles, of Troy, OH; daughters, Karen Edwards of Tennessee, Lisa Brannon of Tipp City, OH, and Connie Vargo of West Milton, OH; grandchildren, Preston Giles Edwards, Zachary Vargo, Danielle Reinhard, Darlene Reinhard, Justin L. Giles, Derrick Vargo and Elizabeth Grace Edwards; great grandchildren, Milo Perry & Wyli Vega McLaughlin, Valkyrie Janae Vargo and Ava May Boyd; brother, Frank C. Giles; sister, Barbara Duncan; many other relatives and his childhood best friend, Fred & his wife Dyne Jackson. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family with burial of his cremated remains at Maple Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Hospice of Miami County.
