Millie "Mary" (Matheny) Whittaker

Millie Ann "Mary" Whittaker,

Age 89 of Union, passed away Wednesday, May 27, 2020 at Stone Spring of Vandalia Health Care Center and Rehabilitation. She was born March 2, 1931 in Victoria, TN to the late Lonnie & Lona (Roberson) Matheney. She was a longtime member of the Vandalia Church of the Nazarene and grounded in her faith. Her greatest joy in life was her time spent with her family. She was known for her infectious laugh and generous heart and will be missed greatly by her family and friends.

Mary is preceded in death by her husband Oather "Jack" Whittaker of 60 years, two sisters Lucy and Billie, and daughter-in-law Cindy Whittaker. She is survived by her brother Lonnie Taylor Matheney of Monterey, TN and 2 children, Danny Whittaker of Englewood and Rebecca Bakri (Munir) of Centerville; 4 grandchildren, Wendi Christopher (Charles), Amber Richison Pack (Josh), Natalie Hildebrand (Allen) & Justin Whittaker (Katie); 9 great-grandchildren, Alanna, Robbie, Ryleigh, Brady, Aiden, Liam, Stella, Gracey & Chase, along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, May 30, at Poplar Hill Cemetery, 1340 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia, OH 45377 with Pastors Mark Batton & Bob Vogelmann officiating.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Miami Valley Hospice in Mary's memory.
