Mearl T. Sears

SEARS, Mearl Thomas, 77, of Vandalia, passed away Friday, October 16, 2020. He was born to the late Leonard & Etta Sears on April 18, 1943 in Somerset, Kentucky. Mearl was retired from Hobart Corp. and had attended the Vandalia Baptist Temple. Preceded in death by his son Jeffrey and his brother, Gene Autry. Survived by his beloved wife of 26 years, Mary; sons, Chris Sears, Matthew Sears (Jessica) & Josh Sears (Aubrey); daughter, Shelly Sears; brothers, twin brother Earl Sears (Marilyn), Ralph Sears (Ruthie), Donnie Sears & Ronnie Sears; sisters, Ivory Jean Abner, Maggie Moore & Barbara Fultz (Ed); grandchildren, Taylor & Austin Barney; many other relatives and friends. Memorial service 11 a.m. Saturday Nov. 7, 2020 at the Vandalia Baptist Temple, 724 Helke Rd., Vandalia, OH 45377. The family will receive friends 4-7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 6, at the church.
