Lois J. Mann

Age 69, of Tipp City, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, May 21, 2023, at The Christ Hospital in Cincinnati. She was born May 27, 1953 in Lima, Ohio to the late Joseph M. & Ellen (Pothast) Mittelkamp. 

Lois was a member of St. Christopher Catholic Church. She retired from Chaminade-Julienne Catholic High School in 2014 as an Administrative Assistant. Lois was most passionate about her husband, children and her beloved grandchildren, who made her heart the happiest. She enjoyed planning great family adventures, scavenger hunts for the kids, and finding just the right gift at the perfect time. She also loved and practiced her Catholic faith daily. Lois had a way of connecting with people and had a wide friendship circle that traces from growing up in Lima, to church friends, neighborhood friends and beyond. Her gift of caring and friendship will be greatly missed.  

Lois is survived by her loving husband of the past 48 ½ years, Thomas R. Mann; two children, Curtis Mann & his wife, Brooke Berger and Keri Byrne & her husband, Joseph; five grandchildren, Ruby & Owen Mann, Joey, Logan & Quinn Byrne; eight siblings, Jane Hitz (Jeff), Jim Mittelkamp (Nancy), Mary Gronas (John), Lora Steed, Sue Tirral (Dennis), Tom Mittelkamp (Janice), Elaine Slipetz (Paul), David Mittelkamp (Lisa); inlaws, Chris Mann (Donna), Bob Mann, Susie Lueders (Rick); and by her extended family & many good friends. 

The family will be receiving friends from 5:00 – 7:00 pm, Tuesday, May 30, at Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia. Friends will also be received from 10:00 – 11:00 am, Wednesday, May 31, at St. Christopher Catholic Church, 435 East National Road, Vandalia. Mass of Christian burial will follow at 11:00 am with Rev. Fr. Andrew Smith celebrating. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery.
