Larry Carl Harness
Age 60, passed away Saturday, January 16, 2021, at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. Larry was born May 2, 1960 in Cincinnati.
He was preceded in death by his father, Carlos Harness; his mother, Janice (nee: Phillips); & his stepfather, Lawrence Schlairet.
Larry retired from the U. S. Navy in 1995 with 18 ½ years of service. He was a member of the Vandalia VFW and the Apple Creek, Ohio American Legion.
Larry is survived by his loving wife of the past 30 years, Peggy Lee (Reed) Harness; three children, Justin Carl Harness, Jessica Lee Bowman (Thomas) & Brandie Lee Baker (Jay); two grandchildren, Benjamin Jay & Everett Levi Bowman; three step-grandchildren, James, Aiden & Zoey Baker; six siblings, Garry Carl Harness (Becky), Brian Lee Harness (Pam), Dan A. Harness, David Anthony Harness (Whitney), Theresa J. Gatzulis (John) & Carla Sue Lowe (Tony); and by his extended family & many good friends.
The family will be receiving friends from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m., on Thursday, January 21, at the Vandalia United Methodist Church, 200 S. Dixie Drive, Vandalia, Ohio 45377. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Donald Hughett and Rev. Carlie Duncan officiating.
