Joyce Miller

Miller, Joyce Anne

 82, originally from Ludlow Falls, Ohio, progressed on a Journey Nov. 22, 2020, after complications, from Dementia/Alzheimer. She was born Feb. 11, 1938, to Theodore and Pauline (Hagerman) Hollingsworth, in Richmond, Indiana. She lived with foster parents, Charles and Mable (Birkhead) Miller, in Dayton, Ohio from the time she was four. Joyce was a beautician at several different shops in the Dayton, Ohio during the 1970's. She later worked at a fishing resort located on Kelly's Island on Lake Erie 1978-1983, where her husband enjoyed many hours fishing for walleye. They lived in Lake Wales, Florida 1992-2008; then settled in Derby, Kansas, until she peacefully died in her home.

She was preceded in death by her biological and foster parents; husband, Edward P. Miller, Sr.; daughter, Debbie Kathleen Miller; brothers, Paul (Hollingsworth) Hamilton, Donnie Miller and Richard Miller. She is survived by her children, Edward P. (Tonja) Miller, Galloway, Ohio, Jena A. (Paul) Smith, Dayton, Ohio, Linda (Michael) Miller-Guebara, Derby, KS; grandchildren, Amanda Adler, Katie  (Seth) Miller-Roth, Melissa (Stephen) Southerland, Tiphanie (Gabe) Madison, Jason Guebara; great grandchildren, Abigale Schultz, Aiden Schultz, Jaxon Roth, Michael Southerland, Sarah Southerland, Samson Southerland, Gavin Oglesby, Emery Oglesby and Max Madison; siblings, James (Mary Lou) Hollingsworth, Indiana and Barbara Harris, Arkansas.

Visitation held on Monday, Nov. 30, from 4-7 pm at Affinity All Faiths Mortuary, 2850 S. Seneca, Wichita, KS with burial to take place at 1:00 pm, Thursday, December 3, at Dayton Memorial Park, Dayton, Ohio.  Memorial Contributions may be made to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.  Local arrangements entrusted to Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, Vandalia.
