Jeanne L Sims

SIMS, Jeanne L., passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, November 3, 2020 in Dayton, Ohio.  She was 70 years old.  Jeanne was born on July 29, 1950 in Dayton, Ohio, the daughter of the late Thomas Sturr Jr. & Martha Sturr.  She graduated from Wilber Wright High School in Dayton.  Jeanne was employed at Merchants Security Service for 26 years and was a member of the Aley United Methodist Church.  

Jeanne loved spending time with her family and friends.  She enjoyed, cooking, fishing, hunting, camping, dancing, singing, her dog, Otis and spending time with her great-grandchildren.  She will long be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and love for all people in her life.  

Preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Tommy and two dogs, Tucker and Charlie, Jeanne is survived by her loving husband of 41 years, Michael E. Sims; two sister, Fay (Roger) Young and Patricia Sturr; three children, Lisa (Kevin) Perry, John (Dorothy) Bair and Greg (Vicky) Sims; 5 grandchildren, Breanne (Tony) Rainwater, Shelby (Mikey) Jackson, Ashley (Jacob) Perry, Amanda (Matt) Krajkowski, and Paige Tanaka; 8 great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, cousins and very special friends. 

In light of current social distancing requirements and for the health and safety of the entire Sims family and all of their friends, a private services will be held.  Arrangements entrusted to Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, Vandalia.
