Janet Lee Wightman

Janet Lee Wightman, age 80 years old, of Huber Heights, Ohio passed away peacefully Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2021 surrounded by her family at home. She was born to the late Samuel & Jeanette Russell (Stubbs) on July 1, 1941 in Dayton, Ohio. Preceded in death by her devoted loving husband of 61 years, Lawrence R. Wightman, and 1 brother, Sam Russell of Canton, Ohio.

Survived by daughter, Kathy L. King; son, Jeffrey R. Wightman (Linn); special granddaughter and caregiver, Tamra L. Collins (Andrew); special great granddaughter, Jenna Clements (Barry); 2 great grandsons, Anthony Jr. and Caden Perkins; her special dog Emma Jean; and numerous nieces, nephews and many friends. Janet was also waiting on the arrival of her 2 great great grandsons, Baby Clements and Bentley Perkins. Janet was a devout Christian and loved spending time with her family. She was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and best friend. She is truly loved and dearly missed. Fly high grandma/nanna, till we meet again. “Absence makes the heart grow fonder.”

Graveside service 2:00 p.m., Monday, January 10, 2022 at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, Tipp City. Pastor Rick Washburn, officiating.
