Janet E. Pendergrass

Age 79, passed away Saturday, November 7, 2020, at the Miami County Hospice Unit in Troy. Janet was born March 2, 1941 in Dayton to the late Reuben & Edna (Danks) Porter. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Donald; daughter, Kimberly Lawson (who passed yesterday, November 6, 2020); son, David Pendergrass; and by a grandson, Matthew Cole.

Janet was a member of the Vandalia Historical Society and the Vandalia Lioness Club.

She is survived by her granddaughter, Melanie Clark & her husband, Travis; two great granddaughters, Laney & Elin Clark; son-in-law, Ed Lawson; sister, Oma Glanzer; and by her extended family & many good friends.

The family will be receiving friends from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Thursday, November 12, at the Vandalia United Methodist Church, 200 S. Dixie Drive, Vandalia. Funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Michael Malcosky officiating. Interment will be at Willow View Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions should be made in memory of Janet to the American Cancer Society.
