Betty Rifner

Age 86, of Dayton, passed away Thursday, June 25, 2020, at Heartland of Beavercreek. Betty was born February 11, 1934 in Dayton to the late Louis & Grace (Herel) Trushel. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her loving husband of 53 years, Clair Rifner, in 2008; two granddaughters, Casey & Mandy Rifner; and by two sisters, Shirley Faulkner & Ruth Reier.

Betty was a member of Faith Lutheran Church and the Beavercreek Senior Citizens Center.

She is survived by two children, Dennis Rifner (Colleen) and Cynthia Wallace (Robert Lowery); one sister, Dorothy Scott; four grandchildren, Shawn (Jill), Ryan (Megan Tarr), Cody (Patience) & Ashley (Josh); and by five great grandchildren, James, Wesley, Alexander, Kian & Raigha.

Graveside services will be held at 12 Noon on Wednesday, July 1, at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions should be made in memory of Elizabeth to the American Cancer Society.

Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home (Vandalia) is in charge of arrangements.
