Elsie Eileen Manson    Born June 23, 1919  -- Died  Tuesday, May 17, 2022

MANSON, Eileen E., age 102, died Tuesday, May, 17, 2022 at Randall Residence in Troy, Ohio.  Eileen had celebrated her 100th birthday on June 23, 2019, surrounded by family and friends at her previous home at SpringMeade Retirement Community in Tipp City.  A daughter of the late Arron L. and Elsie (Boucholtz) Miller, she was born in Bradford and was a 1937 graduate of Bradford High School.  Eileen retired from Ulman’s Department Store in Piqua where she had several friends and family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Robert D. Manson;  son, Frederick G. Manson;  sisters, Betty Kay and Thelma Lavey;  brothers, Glen Miller and Norman Miller.  Eileen is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Ronald and Sandra Manson of Oxford, Georgia, daughter-in-law Nan Manson of St. Simons Island, Georgia;  grandson, Derek G. Manson of Los Angeles, California;  granddaughters, Margie Grube of Wind Gap, Pennsylvania and Betsy Bostick of St. Simons Island, Georgia;  great-granddaughters, Ava Bostick and Maya Bostick of St. Simons Island, Georgia, and Katie Grube of Wind Gap, Pennsylvania;  great-grandson Freddie Grube of Wind Gap, Pennsylvania; and numerous nieces and nephews, extended family, and friends.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, Vandalia, Ohio.  Family graveside services will be conducted later this summer at the family gravesite in Miami Memorial Park in Covington, Ohio.

Contributions may be made to Tunnels To Towers, t2t.org, in memory of Eileen whose sons earned their commissions together from Naval Officer Candidate School in Newport, Rhode Island, and served during The Vietnam War.
