David "Dave" Posma

POSMA, David A. Sr., “Dave” age 68, of Union, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, March 7, 2023.  He was born September 25, 1954 in Utica, New York, son of Arnold and Amelia (Kubica) Posma.  Dave was a graduate of Notre Dame High School in Utica, NY, worked as a diesel mechanic for Acme Spring, and spent over 25 years serving the Vandalia-Butler community working for the Parks and Recreation Department. 

Preceded in death by his parents and beloved wife, Robin, Dave is survived by son, David Posma (Bailey); daughter, Lorie Combs (Kerry); brother, Michael Posma; sisters, Nancy Pawlika and Sandy Miravalle; grandchildren, Madison Combs, Jordan Combs & Paige Berhow (David).

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 15 at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia with Pastor Karl Penn officiating. Interment to follow at the Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening, March 14 from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
