Brown, David W Age 90 of Vandalia ( Butler Township) Passed away Peacefully at Home on Sat August 8th  David was born March 15, 1930 in Dayton Ohio to the late Richard ( POP) Brown and Lottie (Ladow) Brown.  David was a 1949 graduate of Fairview HS and Enlisted in the US Navy in 1950, he served 3 1/2 years as a Navy SEABEE ( ACB-ONE)  stationed in Japan and saw combat in Korea. Dave's trade was an electrician for many years ( local 82) but was best known for building and running the Miami Valley shooting grounds and retail gun shop which he opened with his father in 1958 quickly becoming one of Vandalia's leading entrepreneurs and business owners. After his "first retirement" Dave opened "the Outdoorsman" fishing and hunting store on North Dixie Dr.
His hobbies included flying, boating, fishing , hunting, watching Ohio State Buckeye Football and gardening with his wife Deanna, he just received his 60 year Masonic Pin and 70 Year IBEW pin, David was also a life Member of the NRA ( National Rifle Assoc)
David, was preceded in death by his loving wife Deanna, brothers Richard and Philip, he is blessed to have many family members with loving memories of his great smile, as well as his loving and caring way of life, Dave is survived by his sister Dorothy, son Charles ( Lisa) Brown, Daughters Darana ( Ron) Edmondson, Diane ( Todd) Alexander, ex wife Sue Wollenhaupt (charlie) Prinz, friend Candace Barnett McCoy.  8 Grandchildren, Kristen (Chad) Adolph, Kara ( Ryan) Boesenberg, Jordan ( Rob) Rice, Joshua Brown, Tyler ( Bethany) Edmondson, , Tanner
( Brooke) Edmondson, Denver ( Lizz) Alexander, Austen Alexander  8- Great Grandchildren, Emma & Ryan Adolph,  Crew & Cash Boesenberg, Trace & Griffin Alexander, Trent Edmondson, Hudson Rice.
-Visitation 11:30-12:30 this Thursday (8-13) to be held at Vandalia United Methodist Church  200 South Dixie Dr ( across the street from Morton Whetstone Funeral home)
Service 12:30-1:00 at same location, Pastor Tim Rudd officiating.   Graveside service (1:30 aprox) at Byron cemetery, 3256 Trebein Rd, Fairborn, OH 45324
