David W. “Dave” Galehouse

Age 78, of Dayton, passed away on November 23, 2019. Dave was born December 23, 1940 in Akron, Ohio to the late Robert D. & Dorothy (Wallis) Galehouse. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one son, Robert Scott Galehouse; and by his sister, Diane Cardarella.

Dave is survived by his loving wife of the past 38 years, Deborah Hartman; three sons, David A. Galehouse, John M. Galehouse & his wife, Lisa and Corey A. Akers; five grandchildren, Kera, Kyle, Leah, Elyse & Colin; four great grandchildren, Ava, Eloise, Linus & Matilda; and by his nephew, Matthew Cardarella.

Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated by Rev. Fr. Francis Keferl at 11:30 a.m., Friday, January 17, at St. Christopher Catholic Church, 435 East National Road, Vandalia. The family will be receiving friends at the church from 10:30 a.m. until time of Mass.

In lieu of flowers, contributions should be made in memory of Dave to either Special Olympics of Dayton, Catholic Social Services of the Miami Valley or the Salvation Army.
