Darrell Byers

Darrell Ralph Byers passed peacefully from this life on July 20, 2022, at 84 years of age.  Darrell was born to Ralph Parnell Byers and Mildred Vitella (known as Todd) McGriff Byers on August 11, 1937.  

Darrell proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1955 to 1958.  He married the love of his life, Saundra Jean Hall Byers, on December 26, 1958.  

He was proceeded in death by his parents, his brother Leslie, and sisters Evelyn, Marilene, Patty, and Melanie.  

He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Saundra, daughters Darla (Jeff) Baker and Dianna (Joe) Floyd, grandchildren Rachel (Josh) Sidwell, Joseph (Kacee) Floyd, Sarah (Duke) Couch, Megan (Marc) Pickens, Angela (fiancé Richie) Floyd, Amy Baker, Michael Paul (Mackenzie) Baker, Michael Brian (Kelsey) Floyd, and great grandchildren Devin, Kaden, Jaxson, Alicia, Coleson, Jonas, Maggie, Claire, and Emily, as well as his many nieces and nephews.  

Darrell was a man of faith that led a spirit filled life. He was an active man who enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, bicycling, 200+ days a year at the gym and exploring the backroads of Ohio with his wife. Darrell worked in maintenance for NCR and St Elizabeth Hospital and could fix almost anything. He led a full and blessed life loved by his family and friends.
