Daniel Leo “Howie” Cyr

Age 70, of Englewood, passed away Sunday, May 15, 2022, at the VA Medical Center. He was born June 8, 1951 in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin to the late Howard Joseph & Frances Theresa (Swoboda) Cyr. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Dave.

Dan is survived by two children, Dawn Schwetz (Eric) and Nathan Cyr (Stacy); the mother of his children, Elaine Proue (Randy) two grandchildren, Caitlyn & Chase; siblings, Steve “Stubby,” Chuck & Cathy.

The family will be receiving friends from 9:00 – 10:00 am on Thursday (5/19) at Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Drive, Vandalia. Funeral services will follow at 10:00 am with Rev. Fr. Tim Knepper officiating. Interment will be at Dayton National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions should be made in memory of Dan to the donor’s favorite charity.
