Clair Joan Jackson

Age 93, formerly of Vandalia, passed away Saturday, May 8, 2021, in Wilmore, Kentucky. Joan was born April 27, 1928 in Woodstock, Ohio to the late Clarence & Sylvia (Nicholas) Moody. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded by two brothers, Lawrence Moody & Lowell Moody.

Joan was devoted to the Lord’s work her entire life. She served in the ministry along with her husband, filling the role of pastor’s wife, speaker, Bible teacher, youth leader, gospel singer and worship leader, as well as retreat ministry director and Board Member of Faith Fellowship Ministries. She was passionate about prayer and loved teaching on the Holy Spirit. She brought beauty and order wherever she was and enjoyed caring for her family.

Joan is survived by her loving husband of the past 72 years, Wilbur Lindberg Jackson; children, David Eric Jackson, Daniel Wade Jackson & Melissa Lynn Jackson; grandchildren, Gregory Jackson, Allison Jackson, Melinda Jackson, Benjamin Conners, Ryan Jackson, Rebecca Conners & Gabriel Conners; great grandchildren, Erin Shanholtzer, Jonah, Killian & Levi Conners, Ivy & Lia Jackson, and Olivia & George Exterkamp; sisters, Wilma Rees & her husband, Orville and Rita Johnson & her husband, Greg.

The family will be receiving friends from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm on Saturday, May 15, at Polk Grove Church, 9190 Frederick Pike, Dayton, Ohio 45414. Funeral services will follow at 12:00. All those attending will be required to wear a face mask. Interment will be in Polk Grove Cemetery.
