Carol Ann (Nicholas) Conner, 81, of Norfolk, VA, passed away at her home on August 9, 2021, surrounded by loved ones, after a long battle with emphysema.

Carol was born on July 22, 1940, to John and Eva (Kinsey) Nicholas in the bustling city of Dayton, OH.

Carol loved her family deeply and openly. She never forgot a birthday and you could always count on receiving not just one, but two birthday cards from her, one funny and one heartfelt. She also loved dogs and had many furry family members throughout her life including Toby and Oscar that she leaves behind.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents, John and Eva Nicholas, and her siblings, Thelma, Marjorie, John, and Sandra. She is survived by her husband, William Conner, of Norfolk VA, 3 children; Rick (Cindy) McMaken of Saint Paris OH, John (Lisa) McMaken of Urbana OH and Lisa (John) LaRock, of Virginia Beach VA, 11 grandchildren; Laura Staten, Karen Miller, Melissa Woods, Ricky (Stephanie) McMaken, Jonathan McMaken, Senina McMaken, Patrick (Evan) McMaken, Nicholas McMaken, Shelby McMaken, Christopher LaRock, and Rebecca LaRock, and 10 great grandchildren; Connor, Adeline, Benjamin, Leah, Ian, Elijah, Emmalynn, Steven, Delaney and Riley.

A private grave site service will be held at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens, New Carlisle, Ohio.
