Bertha Thomas

Age 85, passed away on Thursday, November 5, 2020, at Stone Springs of Vandalia. Bertha was born May 17, 1935 in Bond, Kentucky to the late Willie H. & Martha (Wright) Browning. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by sisters, Hazel, Myrtle, Opal, Ruth & Bobbie; and brothers, Clyde, Everett, Rexel & Willie Jr.

Bertha loved attending Northridge Freewill Baptist Church, spending precious time with her family and she was an avid reader.

She is survived by her sister, Anna Browning; special niece, Donna Glenn & her husband, Larry; numerous nieces & nephews and great nieces & nephews.

The family will be receiving friends from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m., on Tuesday, November 10, at Morton & Whetstone funeral home, 139 S. Dixie Drive, Vandalia. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Steve Nickels and Pastor Tim Hamilton officiating. Interment will be in Willow View Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions should be made in memory of Bertha to the Holy Ground FWB Youth for Christ Camp, 4800 Payne Avenue, Dayton, Ohio 45414.
