Anita Kathleen Risden

RISDEN, Anita Kathleen, age 60, of Dayton, OH, passed away on Friday, August 14, 2020 in Hudson, Florida. Anita was proceeded in death by her mother, father, and daughter Amanda Kay Risden “Mandi.” Anita is survived by her best friend and husband of 43 years, Rick; son, Rickey Risden, II; daughter-in-law, Carree Chapman; grandchildren, Rickey, Kaylynn, Robiann, Kyle, Connor, Isabella, Maddison and Ryker; 4 brothers and 3 sisters, including special sister, Elaine; special family member & friend Rich Blakley; numerous nieces, nephews and many friends. Anita graduated in 1989 from Sinclair’s nursing program and fulfilled her love of nursing at Children’s Medical Center, Grandview Medical Center and Sarasota Memorial Hospital. She was certified in Pediatric Nursing and retired after 30+ years to spend more time with her grandchildren. Anita had a love for helping everyone, garage sales, being outdoors and never meeting a stranger. But the deepest love she ever had was for her grandchildren. Whether close by in Ohio or far away in Florida, each grandchild knew that they were getting BIG hugs and kisses from Mamaw when the phone was hung up. Funeral service 6:00 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 27, at the Vandalia United Methodist Church, 200 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia, OH 45377. The family will receive friends Thursday at 5:00 p.m., prior to the service, at the church. Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, Vandalia, is in charge of arrangements.
