DOEHLER, Walter F. Jr., age 74, of Vandalia passed away Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at Hospice of Dayton. He was born June 30, 1937 in New York City, NY. Walter was a U.S. Air Force Veteran and a retired pilot with Flight Safety of Toledo, OH. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Jane (Oehlenschlager) Doehler of Vandalia; step-son, Nathan Elkins; mother-in-law & father-in-law, Betty & Richard Oehlenschlager; sisters-in-law, Judy Taylor and Jill Verburg (Brad); brother-in-law, Jim Oehlenschlager and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. It is the wish of Mr. Doehlers family that all services be private. Arrangements entrusted to Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, Vandalia.
