Wahneta M. Shelton

SHELTON, Wahneta M. age 94 of Vandalia, passed away Tuesday April 3, 2018 at Stonespring of Vandalia. She was born November 7, 1923 in Wilmington, OH, daughter of the late Elvis & Edith (Ballinger) Davis. Wahneta enjoyed bowling, and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles; 3 sisters Virginia Beam, Ruth Irvin, Evelyn Gimperling, and one brother Ronald Davis. She is survived by one son Scott & wife Wendy Shelton of Vandalia; 2 grandchildren Madeline Shelton of Washington D.C. and Nolan Shelton of Vandalia; 2 sisters Mary June Vaughn of Cedarville and Anna Belle Masters of Lebanon; her dear friend Gloria Shanahan and a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Saturday April 7 at 11:30am at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home 139 S. Dixie Dr. Vandalia. Burial will follow at Polk Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday morning from 10:00am to 11:30am. If so desired, contributions may be made to the Aullwood Audubon Center 1000 Aullwood Rd.
