Age 59, of Englewood, passed away Thursday, September 14, 2023, at Kettering Health – Dayton. Ed was born July 10, 1964 in Jeffersonville, Indiana to the late Jerry Tarter & Joann (Blevins) Adkins.

Ed enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending his time outdoors. He was a great cook and loved cooking for his friends and family. He was a great father, grandfather, brother and friend. He brought so much laughter and joy to the people in his life and will be greatly missed by many.

He is survived by two children, Tabitha Tarter and Travis Tarter; two grandchildren, Catelyn & Maddox; brother, David Tarter & his wife, Missy; and by his extended family & many good friends.

The family will be receiving friends from 4:00 – 5:30 p.m., Saturday, October 14, at Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 South Dixie Drive, Vandalia. A memorial service will follow at 5:30 p.m.
