Thomas M. Kenney, age 97, of Vandalia, Ohio, passed away peacefully on November 21, 2025. Born July 17, 1928, in Louisville, Kentucky, Tom was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and accomplished artist. Tom proudly served his country during the Korean War, stationed in Germany with the United States Army.
A gifted artist from a young age, Tom was personally hired by Loren M. Berry Sr., founder of the Yellow Pages, and enjoyed a 44-year career as a commercial artist with The Berry Company. After retirement, he and his wife, Liz, opened TK Limited Studio Gallery in Dayton, where his creative spirit found renewed expression.
Tom was a member of Fairview Baptist Church and then First Light Church in Vandalia and lived a life of faith. He had a passion for singing and particularly enjoyed being in the church choir for the annual Living Christmas Tree concerts. Tom enjoyed bowling on Friday nights at Trotwood Lanes and playing softball at Kettering Fields in the church leagues. Tom loved golf and played his final round in his 90th year.
He is survived by his loving wife of over 70 years, Elizabeth M. Kenney; his children Brad (Teresa) Kenney, Greg (Lynn) Kenney, and Beth Kenney; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
