Thomas J. Brassell

Thomas J. Brassell, 62, of Vandalia, passed away Saturday, October 12, 2024 at his home. He was born to Ronald & Dolores Brassell on August 10, 1962 in Toledo, Ohio. Tom was a 1980 graduate of Vandalia Butler High School and had worked for Fries Machining & Tool for over 15 years. He was a member of the Troy Fish & Game Club. Tom really enjoyed fishing and loved his RC cars & planes. 

He is preceded in death by his father, Ronald Brassell. Survived by his mother, Dolores “Lori” Brassell; his wife of 38 years, Cindy Brassell; son, Philip (Bonnie) Severt; daughter, Nicole Brassell; brother, Bob (Lisa) Brassell; sisters, Barb (Jerry) Sutter and Linda (Darrell) Rice; grandchildren, Mason, Chloe, Kolton & Nicholas; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives & many friends. 

The family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 17, at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia, with the funeral service at 7:00 p.m. The burial will take place at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 18, at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery, section 21.
