Theresa V. Castel

Theresa (Veloira) Castel, 63, of Dayton, Ohio, passed away peacefully on March 1, 2026.

Born on January 8, 1963, in Cleveland, Ohio, to the late Jaime and Severina Veloira, Theresa lived a life defined by devotion to her religion, generosity, warmth, and unwavering love for her family and friends. She gave herself unconditionally and brought joy and love to everyone fortunate enough to know her. Her kindness was steady and sincere, and her presence made others feel cared for and supported.

Theresa was a devoted mother to her three children, Robby (Carey) Castel, Jordan Castel, and Daniel (Jacqueline) Castel, who were the center of her life. Her greatest joy, however, was being “Lola.” Her grandchildren — Grady, Jaden, Cora, Aubrey, and Olivia — were her whole world. She treasured every hug, every laugh, and every moment spent with them, creating memories that will live on in their hearts forever.

She is also survived by her siblings – Grace (Jim) Minier, Christi Veloira, Lissa (Mark) LoSchiavo, Janette (Rob) Hostettler, Joey Veloira (Sean Cernetic) – along with many extended family members and dear friends. Her love and selflessness touched countless lives.

Visitation will be held on 3/12/2026 from 5 PM to 7 PM at Second Covenant Apostolic Church, 8001 Peters Pike, Dayton, OH 45414, with a private ceremony to follow.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Lola T Memorial Fund, which will serve as a fund to donate to charities and causes near and dear to Theresa’s life.

Theresa will be deeply missed and forever remembered for the joy she shared so freely and the love she gave without hesitation.
