Terry N. Smith

Terry N. Smith, 86, of Tipp City, passed away Wednesday, April 29, 2026 at Ohio’s Hospice of Miami County. He was born to Paul & Bertha Smith on June 16, 1939 in Dayton, Ohio. Terry served his country with honor in the U.S. Air Force. He was a life member of American Legion Post #61 in Avondale, AZ, and past president of Local #763 IAM & AW Union. Terry was also a former deputy sheriff with the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Department. in Arizona.

Terry was preceded in death by his loving wife Mary of more than 30 years, his father Paul C Smith, mother Bertha Mae Smith, brothers Edwin Smith, and Richard Smith, sisters Carole Temple, Suzanne Hornbeck, and Jacqueline Smith, nephews Ed Smith Jr, Steven Temple, Thomas Mullins, Jeff Lindsey, and niece Vicki Bormes.

He is survived by his sister Zola Jayne Schnelle, brothers Norman Smith and Gary Smith, nephews Allen Smith, Mike Temple, Dan Mullins, Jon Mullins, Patrick Baldwin, Kevin Hartman, Rusty Smith and Brian Smith, nieces Valerie Berry, Linda Rundlett, Autumn Shepard, Julie Mullins, and Angela Dettrick and many other friends and relatives.

The private burial of Terry’s cremated remains will take place at Riverside Cemetery, Troy, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of Miami County.
