Terry L. Hildebrand

Age 77, of Englewood, passed away Thursday, August 27, 2026. Terry was born May 8, 1949 in Troy, Ohio to the late Russell J. & Patricia L. (Hicks) Hildebrand. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one infant son, Rodney; one sister, Sandra; and by one brother, Larry.

Terry was a long-time member of Grace Baptist Church in Ludlow Falls where he also served as a church trustee. He retired from General Motors with 22 years of service as a plumber. Terry enjoyed helping people and could always be found working on some sort of repair job. He was very good at figuring things out.

Terry is survived by his loving wife of the past 56 years, Marita R. “Rita” (Lambert) Hildebrand; one son, Christopher L. Hildebrand and his wife, Petra; two grandchildren, Cody and Celina (Adam); two great grandchildren, Evelyn and Emma Jo; two siblings, Bonnie and John (Carlye); and by his extended family, his church family and many good friends.

The family will be receiving friends from 10:30 am to 12:30 p.m., Tuesday, September 1, at the Grace Baptist Church, 2500 Ohio Route 48, Ludlow Falls, Ohio. Funeral services will begin at 12:30 p.m. with Pastor Dale Scott officiating. Interment will be at Polk Grove Cemetery. Morton & Whetstone funeral home is in charge of arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, contributions should be made in memory of Terry to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
