Ruth Treiber

TREIBER, Ruth C. age 96 of Friendship Village, passed away Tuesday November 6, 2007 at Hospice of Dayton following a lengthy illness. Ruth was born October 23, 1911 in Dayton, daughter of the late William & Agnes (Locker) Gutwein. She was a former member of Zion United Methodist Church and the Troy Street United Methodist Church both in Dayton and was a member of the Vandalia United Methodist Church. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband Charles H Treiber, 2 sisters Esther Trump and Mabel Grischenko, and one brother William Gutwein. She is survived by one son Robert C. & wife Catharine Treiber of Vandalia; 3 grandchildren Kathleen Jo Treiber, Rebecca & husband Rudy Wells, and Charles R. Treiber; 6 great-grandchildren Anne Rebecca Moore, Joshua Treiber, Adam Treiber, Luke Treiber, Charlotte Wells, Andrew Wells; one sister Wilma & husband Willard Stine; nieces Charlene & husband Barry Richards, Darlene & husband D.J. Thomas, Priscilla & husband George Nadasi; nephews Jeff Trump and Brad Stine and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held Friday November 9 at 2:00pm at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home 139 S. Dixie Dr. Vandalia with Rev Thomas Weeks officiating. Burial followed at Willowview Cemetery. The family received friends at the funeral home on Friday from 12:00 noon until time of service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton in Ruths memory.
