Ronald P. Thornton

THORNTON, Ronald P., age 72 of Vandalia passed away unexpectedly Friday, January 23, 2015. He was born November 7, 1942 in Marlette, MI, son of the late Rebert & Weldonna (Gift) Thornton and he was a United States Marine Corp Veteran of the Vietnam Conflict. Preceded in death by his brother, Jack Thornton, Ronald is survived by his wife of 32 years, Joan (Collier); daughter, Jessica; 2 sons, Jason Albright (Mary) and Josh Albright; 3 grandchildren, Kylie, Lauren & Cayla; 2 sisters, Mary Billow and Linda Crabtree, along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 5:00 pm, Tuesday, January 27 at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 3:00 pm until time of service. If so desired, contributions may be made to the charity of your choice in Ronald's memory.
