Ronald Leo Schmidt

Age 71, of Dayton, passed away Monday, September 15, 2025. He was born July 19, 1954 in Dayton to the late Leo & Marie Margaret (Mescher) Schmidt.

Ron is survived by six siblings, Robert L. Schmidt & his wife, Marjorie, Virgil Schmidt, Patricia Schmidt, Michael A. Schmidt & his wife, Sheryl, Susan Schmidt, and Barbara Ross & her husband, John; and by several nieces & nephews.

Ron was passionate about Vandalia-Butler sports where he was an unofficial statistician, Ohio State sports, Cleveland Browns and he was also known as Mr. Green to his friends around town and the RTA. Ron always enjoyed oldies music and volunteered at Oldies 97.3 Your Community Radio Station.

Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 24, at St. Christopher Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens. The family will be receiving friends from 10:00 a.m. until time of Mass.
