Ronald L. Barnett

Ronald Lee Barnett, 74, of New Carlisle, passed away Monday, September 26, 2022. He was born to Ben & Geneva Barnett on Apr. 13, 1948 in Middlesboro, Kentucky. Ron was a decorated U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War and member of the New Carlisle Baptist Church. He was also known as the “VW” man. Preceded in death by his parents; wife, Rosanne Barnett; sister, Norma, and brothers, Benny, Phillip & Ed; step daughters, Julieann Jenkins & Jody Lynn Kopf. Survived by his brother, John D. Barnett (Linda); sister-in-law, Judy Barnett; grandsons, Kyle Clinton & William Eli Jenkins; granddaughter, Annalyza Snider; great grandchildren, Kyla Slife, Kalvin Clinton, Heaven Watkins & Mia Jenkins; many other relatives & friends. Graveside service & military honors 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 5, 2022 at New Carlisle Cemetery with Rev. Steve Veg, officiating. Arrangements entrusted to the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, Vandalia.
