Roger D. Roberts

Age 72, of Vandalia, passed away Thursday, December 23, 2021 at Grandview Hospital. Roger was born June 4, 1949 in Lee County, Virginia to the late Greenberry & Alice Roberts. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother, Jeff.

Roger was a U. S. Army veteran and he retired as head custodian for Vandalia-Butler Schools.

He is survived by his step-mother, Inez; children, Jeannie, Roger (Taryn), Susan (David), Kristie, Ryan (Ann) and Aaron (Amanda); grandchildren, Christian, Martina and Hadessah; siblings, Buck, Mary, Sharon, Penny, Robin, Sandy, Rhonda, Tammy, Kim and Joni; and by his former wife, Linda Roberts.

The family will be receiving friends from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 5, 2022, at Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Cremation to follow.

In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer that contributions be made in memory of Roger to The Dayton Children’s Hospital.
