Robert “Bob” Jay Warden
Age 68, of Vandalia, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday November 27, 2024. He was born on November 26, 1956 in Franklin, Ohio. He was a devoted husband to Linda Kay (Taylor) Warden for a lovingly 43 years. He was a loving father to Melinda Warden of Dayton, Ohio and Megan Warden (Matthew Craig) of Colorado Springs, CO
Though Bob may not have liked being the center of attention, he deserves to have his long years of fatherly love honored. He was a man of many jokes, kindness, and loved his animals to his core. He left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him.
He is survived by his wife, children, his sister June Ann “Jitty” Warden, his mother-in-law Elizabeth Ann Taylor (Hagemeyer), and his loving dog Molly, as well as many friends and extended family members who will miss him dearly. He is preceded in death by his parents William and June Warden, his brother William “Butch” Warden, and his father-in-law Johnny H. Taylor.
The family will be receiving friends from 2:00 – 4:00 pm on Tuesday, December 3, at Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The American Heart Association or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
We find comfort in knowing that Bob’s legacy lives on through the lessons he taught us, the love he shared, and the memories and stories we will cherish forever.
