CRUMP. Robert L. “Bob” Crump, age 72, of Tipp City, passed away Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at Ohio’s Hospice of Miami County, leaving behind a legacy of quiet kindness, steady devotion, and a life richly lived in the company of those he loved most. Bob was a beloved husband and brother, a loyal friend, and a man whose greatest joy came from the simple, meaningful moments he shared with family.

Bob was born December 8, 1953, in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late Clifford and Kay (Vandeveer) Crump. Bob carried forward the values of humility, compassion, and hard work that shaped his life. He was a lover of music and an avid reader who found enjoyment and curiosity in books, always eager to learn. And on fall Sundays, Bob could be found cheering on his Cleveland Browns with unwavering loyalty, a testament to his enduring spirit and sense of hope.

Above all, Bob was devoted to his family. He shared 34 wonderful years of marriage with his loving wife, Joyce (Brunk) Crump, whose partnership and companionship were the center of his world. He is also survived by his sisters, Debora Crump and Patricia (James) Taylor; Mother in law Virginia Brunk; stepdaughter, Angela (Chris) Brown; niece, Jennifer Taylor; Grandchildren, Brayden Brown, Josilan (Zane) Price, Madisan Brown and Brinley Brown; Great nephew Avery Purvis and a host of extended family members and dear friends who will cherish his memory. Along with his parents Clifford and Kay (Vandeveer) Crump, Bob is also preceded in death by Father-in-law Carroll D Brunk and stepson Paul Stidd II.

Bob’s gentle presence, thoughtful nature, and genuine care for others will be deeply missed but never forgotten. His life reminds us to treasure time with loved ones, find joy in everyday passions, and remain steadfast in love and loyalty.

May his memory bring comfort to all who knew him.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm, Tuesday, March 24 at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia. Interment will follow at Polk Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 11:00 am until time of service.
