Richard O. Rumpf

RUMPF, Richard O., age 82 of Vandalia passed away Sunday, December 29, 2013 at Stonespring of Vandalia. He was born June 14, 1931 in Dayton, OH, son of the late Robert & Clair Rumpf. Richard was a graduate of Fairmont High School, attended the University of Dayton, was a U.S. Navy Veteran and a retired employee of General Motors. Preceded in death by his sister, Janet Rumpf, Richard is survived by his wife of 58 years, Patricia L. (Knox); 2 children, Debra L. Trimbach and Richard O. Rumpf Jr; 4 grandchildren, Renee Trimbach, Ryan A. Trimbach (Christine), Jason A. Trimbach (Tia) & Kevin Trimbach (Brittany); and 10 great-grandchildren, Aiden, Noah, Ellie, Cooper, Savanna, Knox, Aubrey, Natalie, Stephany, & Bengamin. A Memorial Service for family and friends will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, Vandalia.
