DABBELT, Richard F.

Age 85 of Tipp City, passed away Tuesday, April 1, 2025 in Ohio Hospice of Miami County. He was born to Anthony and Hazel Dabbelt on January 9,1940 in Dayton, Ohio. Richard was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, David Dabbelt.

Richard was a graduate of Patterson Co-op.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Beverly Dabbelt; sons, Jim and Bob; grandchildren, Montana Dabbelt; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and many friends.

He retired from General Motors after 32 years and spent post-retirement as a Meijers greeter for ten years, along with being a frequent visitor at Jim’s Donut Shop. Richard was an avid Ohio State football and Dayton Flyers basketball fan, and an avid watcher of MeTV and sports.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 - 6:00 pm Wednesday, April 9, 2025 at Morton Whetstone, with a memorial service at 6:00 p.m. Pastor Aaron Deal, officiating.
