Raymond L. Arden Jr.

ARDEN, Raymond L., Jr., age of 68, of Vandalia, went home to be with our Lord. He passed away November 14, 2016 at Hospice of Dayton after a short illness. He was born October 4, 1948 to Raymond L. Arden Sr. and Betty Ann (Walters) Arden. He graduated from Vandalia-Butler High School in 1966 and Miami University in 1971. Ray Jr. was a longtime member of the First Church of the Nazarene on North Main Street in Dayton. Ray is survived by his parents, Raymond Sr. & Betty Ann Arden of Vandalia; 3 brothers, Steve (Sheryl), Tim (Carol) & Randy (Carol); nephews, Aaron Arden, Chris Arden (Kathy), Ben Arden & Josh Arden (Cristina); nieces, Christy Dittberner (Dan), Hannah Williams (Ben), Katie Arden & Lyndsey Arden; great-nephews & nieces, Brody, Carson, Ethan, Maddox, Kelsey, Adalynn & Alena; his close and faithful cousins, Virginia Paulus (Dave), Judy Casey (Dave) and Tom Dillon (Karen). Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, November 18, at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia with Pastor David Rusk & Pastor Stanley Ward officiating. Interment will follow at Poplar Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday morning from 10:00 am until time of service.
