Phyllis M. Burrows

Phyllis M. Burrows, 88, of Northridge (Dayton), passed away Saturday, December 14, 2024. She was born to James & Ada Fletcher on November 11, 1936 in Madison County, Kentucky. Phyllis was a long-time member of the Northridge Freewill Baptist Church. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Richard Ballard & Frank Burrows; daughter, Barbara Jean Davis; son, Richard T. Ballard, Jr.; granddaughters, Melody Ballard & Melissa Davis; sisters, Lottie Barnes & Marie Brenner; brothers, Jimmy, Leon & Clark Fletcher. 

Survived by her son & daughter-in-law, David W. Ballard, Sr. (Malinda); brother, Charlie Fletcher; grandchildren, Richard Marcum, Angela Davis Cook (Chris), Steve Davis (Randi), Joseph Buelow (Kate), David W. Ballard, Jr. (Carmen), Michael Ballard & Brandy Gamblin; great grandchildren, Joseph Buelow, Justin Buelow, Andrew Buelow, Cole Ballard, Blake Ballard, Bret Ballard, Ella Ballard, Christopher Resch, Cameron Cook, Kallie Davis, Carter Davis & Carlie Davis; great-great grandchildren, Blakely Davis, Charlee Cook, Maverick Cook & Lydia Cook; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives & many friends. 

The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. Friday, Dec. 20, at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia, with the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Pastor Tim Hamilton, officiating. The burial will follow at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery.
