Pearle Hicks

Age 76, of Dayton, passed away Tuesday; June 9, 2020, at the Cottages of Clayton. Pearle was born July 5, 1943 in Clyde, North Carolina to the late Robert & Alva Lee (Dawson) Jones. In addition to her parents, Pearle was also preceded in death by three sisters, Faye, Nellie & Frances.

Pearle was a member of the Christian Life Center.

She is survived by her daughter, Paulette Hicks; Paulette’s father, Raymond Hicks & his wife, Jane; one brother, Bobby Jones & his wife, Eloise; three sisters, Vessie Saylor & her husband, David, Alma Jones and Gladys Robinson & her husband, Ronnie; four “adopted” grandchildren, Amelia, Eric, Molly and Lucy; and by numerous nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, June 13, at Polk Grove Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions should be made in memory of Pearle to the Alzheimer’s Association.

Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
