Paul E. Thaler

THALER, Paul E., age 61 of Butler Twp., passed away Thursday, December 16, 2021 at Miami  Valley Hospital.  He was born September 24, 1960 in Dayton, Ohio, son of the late Paul C. and  Beverly (Neely) Thaler.  Paul was a 1978 graduate of Northridge High School and developed a  spirit of entrepreneurship leading him to own and operate a variety of businesses, most recently  Clean and Bright Auto Detailing.  Paul enjoyed demonstrating his work ethic and sharing  entrepreneurship with his sons, helping build their undeniable father-son bonds.  He was a  devout follower of Christ and attended Christian Life Center.

Paul loved telling stories and was known to hold the ears of his listeners for hours.  He was  compassionate, generous, and took great pride in developing relationships with family and  friends.  His hobbies of motorcycles and classic cars and trucks helped foster and deepen those  relationships.  Paul loved his family and especially cherished his role as “Gramps”. Preceded in death by his parents, Paul is survived by his beloved wife of 36 years, Kim Thaler; 2 sons, Aaron (Lindsey) Thaler and Drew (Austen) Thaler; and by the loves of his life, his  grandchildren, Sophia and Owen.

A Celebration of Paul’s life will be held at 1:00 pm, Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at the  Christian Life Center - West Auditorium with Pastor Jason Robertson officiating.  The family  will receive friends from 11:00 am until time of service.  In lieu of flowers, please consider a  memorial donation to OneHope or the Pink Ribbon Girls in Paul’s memory.   Arrangements  entrusted to Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, Vandalia.
