Orma L. Bone

BONE, Orma Lee (Cotterman), passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, just four days short of her 95th birthday. Preceded in death by her loving husband, Dr. David Lee Bone and their daughter, Rebecca S. Pelfrey, Orma is survived by three daughters, Jennifer L. Jones (Alan), Julie K. Brusman (David), and Cheryl L. Zawadzki (Raymond); along with Rebecca’s husband, Steve Pelfrey. She is also survived by her 13 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren.

Orma was born in Xenia, Ohio on July 27th, 1930 to John M. and Margaret (McCarty) Coffman. She married her beloved husband on September 19, 1952. They settled in Vandalia, Ohio where David had a dental practice and Orma supported him and raised their four daughters. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Her passion was her faith in Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior, and she set a Godly example to all those around her. She will be sorely missed by all who knew her.

A Celebration of Orma’s life will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, August 10 at Living Word Church, 926 E. National Rd., Vandalia. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a memorial contribution to Lifewise of Tipp City or Vandalia. Arrangements entrusted to Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, Vandala.
